CAREER EXPERIENCE

2021 - Present

California Department of Corrections

Forensic Psychologist

  • Conduct violence risk and sexual offense recidivism assessments for determinately and indeterminately sentenced inmates seeking parole.

2014 - 2021

San Quentin State Prison

Staff Psychologist

  • Provide psycho-diagnostic screening as part of San Quentin’s Developmental Disability Program.

  • Facilitate both structured and process groups with varying prison populations (e.g., Administrative Segregation and Condemned).

  • Work as part of California Department of Correction’s first Psychiatric Inpatient Unit for male condemned inmates. This role includes treatment/stabilization of inmates placed in a Mental Health Crisis bed.

  • Complete mental health intakes and forensic assessment on all newly condemned inmates upon their arrival to San Quentin.

  • Maintain daily observation notes, treatment updates and special incident reports when applicable.

  • Provide psycho-diagnostic assessment.

  • Plan, organize and implement individualized treatment plans for a diverse population as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

  • On-call Psychologist for Use of Force incidents.

2016 - Present

San Francisco Forensic Institute

Forensic Psychologist

  • Complete outpatient sex offender assessment and treatment for juveniles and adults.
